I recently interviewed Beauty Advisor Danielle Beyer. She has incorporated Motives Beauty Brand's products and tools to grow into a beautypreneur. Danielle is breaking boundaries within all of our divisions and continues to build her empire with others. Way to go, Danielle! Thank you for inspiring us and constantly helping those around you to succeed.




How were you introduced to Motives? 

I was first introduced to Market America and Motives in 1998. I had just turned twenty and was in college. I actually didn’t wear a lot of makeup at the time and had very sensitive skin. The first product I tried was the Skintelligence travel kit. I loved the soothing aromatherapy blends and was having great results. 



What made you want to learn more and eventually align yourself with Motives?

From a young age I was drawn to good quality products. Be it fashion, cosmetics or skincare. I found it very appealing that while I was still in college I could start a business and work with exclusive products that were very much on trend. It almost seemed too good to be true! At this same time, the company was looking for business owners where I lived in New Jersey, who were interested in becoming certified consultants with Motives and learning about the new Custom Blend foundation system. It just seemed like such a natural fit for me. It was an easy yes! 

How have you leveraged the training & events to build your belief to propel your success?

The trainings provide such top-notch valuable information that goes far beyond just learning about the newest product releases. It really arms you with the knowledge to confidently make product recommendations and provide solutions to your clients. I’ve also had the opportunity at trainings to network with other business owners across the globe who are eager to lend their expertise, provide prospective, and have ultimately helped me further develop my skills while building my business. 

The education I have received has only further propelled my success as a business owner and has definitely helped the growth of my retail sales. I also like to post to my social media accounts when I’m at a training or share new information I’ve just learned with my clients as soon as I’m back. I think clients respect you more and are more interested in your services when they see you are educated in what you have to offer. 




What goals has Motives helped you achieve? 

Partnering with Motives had set me on a course to accomplishing so many goals and dreams. Most I didn’t realize I even had at the time.


Shorty after partnering with Motives I started taking classes at The Fashion Institute of Technology. It was always a dream of mine to study there. I’ve always been a very creative person and fashion had been such a huge passion of mine. I started studying color theory, color analysis, trend forecasting and image consulting. The timing of it couldn’t have been better as there was a strong correlation between what I was learning in school and my new Motives business. I definitely felt I was in the right place at the right time. 


While growing my client base, working hands on with the Motives line, and falling in love with custom blend, it was only a short while before I became driven to wanting to excel my career as a professional makeup artist. After more training, apart from everything I was learning with Motives, I then launched Beyer Beauty - a wedding makeup business in 2000. From there it really took off and have since worked on tv, commercial, film and photoshoots. 


What is the best way to expand your team ? 

First and foremost - be yourself!! When you’re genuine with people they can feel your energy and better relate to you. I think second would be to continuously educate yourself on what you have to offer as a business and what the company provides for you and how we are different than most companies. Know that you have a competitive edge in what you have to offer, especially as a product broker. Although I have built a career as a makeup artist and often work in the beauty space, I have also partnered with health professionals and web consultants and have numerous clients that also purchase health and nutrition products besides makeup. I have attended TLS weight loss trainings, the NutraMetrix Certification training, Webcenter trainings, and the Motives Beauty and Business Academy training. My third tip would be to leverage social media to grow and expand your business. 





What are you excited about for the future? 

I’m very lucky that I can stay at home with my two year old daughter yet dream up what I want to accomplish next and continue to grow my business and expand my team. I’m looking forward to new collaborations, new partnerships, and the business opportunities that will present itself this year. I’m on a mission to be more impactful.
