How were you introduced to Motives?
I started by business in Market America with the belief that health and wellness was going to be my major. My husband kept telling me that I should major in Motives, but I didn’t give it much thought. One of my business partners completed her custom blend training and wanted to blend a foundation for me. I found the whole process fascinating but honestly thought something was wrong when I saw her add purple to my formula (because I don’t have purple skin). I was shocked when it all came together and I had a foundation that actually matched my skin tone. That was the unexpected start to my Motives journey (and I had to tell my husband he was right).
What made you want to learn more and eventually align yourself with Motives?
How have you leveraged the training & events to build your belief to propel your success?
One of the things I love most about Motives is the training. The corporate team is truly committed to giving beauty advisors the knowledge and skills needed to be successful. I am not a professional makeup artist or esthetician, but I am equipped with the knowledge and support I need to be successful in the beauty and skincare industry. Having a business can be challenging sometimes and events like our conferences keep my soul (my why) connected to my brain so I remain focused.
In what ways has incorporating Motives into your business changed things for you?
What do you feel is the best way to expand your Motives team?
The best way to expand my Motives team is by sharing our products and emphasizing that we are not just limited to cosmetics. We have everything needed for our clients to look and feel beautiful from the inside out and we buy it from ourselves. It’s also key to emphasize that we are in our business for ourselves but not buy ourselves. The business model is built on teamwork and the concept of working together and supporting each other is woven throughout the entire company. For someone new to the industry like I was, this is priceless.
What are you most excited about regarding long-term goals?
